Saturday Stuff to Skim (because I missed it on Friday)
As promised, here is your healthy dose of articles to burn your extra down time. To start, I want to address the topic of ‘packing the neck’ while deadlifting. It was brought up by my lovely Nick (who said it simply to challenge me and be a pain in the butt <3) and also Tara’s husband (who was genuinely curious, I presume).
While I don’t ever advocate simply taking some internet guru’s advice for truth, I will attest with my n=1 case study that this technique has been helpful. I feel significantly more stable throughout the movement and it has helped me correct a lot of the issues I listed in yesterday’s post.
I’m just going to link some neck packing/spine pieces in with the rest of this week’s reading material. Enjoy!
